Dhurandhar: The Revenge

An Indian spy film and a sequel. The first part was set in Karachi. A man called Hamza Ali Mazari entered the city's underworld, rose beside a gang leader with political ambitions, and was in fact working for India. This second part continues from there. The identity coming apart, the relationships built along the way breaking down, and revenge are the axis of the narrative. The production has an odd history. It was shot as a single feature; in editing the director decided the material would not fit a theatrical running time and the work was split into two films. The first part opened in December 2025 and ran over three and a half hours; this one came in March 2026. The narrative is not built on loud patriotism; it moves more through underworld relationships, intelligence manoeuvres and the economics of violence. Ranveer Singh plays Hamza. The actor drops his known high-energy manner for something closed and quiet. Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi are in the cast. Aditya Dhar wrote and directed. On release it found wide distribution outside India as well. Who it is for: anyone who likes long, hard, crowded Indian action films. Who it is not for: anyone who has not seen the first part; the narrative explains nothing from the beginning and simply continues.
