Disrupted

The documentary takes up two people. They are a mother and her child. The mother, Lilia Ortega, is an actress. Her child Coral Bonelli comes out of the same world. Coral was a child actor in the seventies. In those years she was known as Pinolito. Years later she began living as a trans woman. She now goes by the name Coral Bonelli. The two of them live together in the Garibaldi quarter of Mexico City. At home they talk about their years in the cinema. Those days are far behind them now. Coral lives her identity openly. Both of them still perform. The documentary is built out of what the two of them say. Coral Bonelli and Lilia Ortega appear in Roberto Fiesco’s ninety five minute Mexican documentary of 2013.
