Djomeh

Djomeh is a young man from Afghanistan. He came to Iran because of trouble at home. He works in the milk trade in a village. Every morning he delivers milk. The villagers keep their distance from him. He is reminded at every turn that he is a foreigner. Habib, who comes from the same country, looks down on him too. Habib is the man he was entrusted to. His employer is the one person who treats him well. Djomeh can talk to him. He takes a liking to a girl from the village. He asks his employer to speak for him. That request makes his position harder still. The film moves through small daily details. Rashid Akbari and Mahmoud Behraznia appear in the ninety four minute film, an Iranian and French production Hassan Yektapanah finished in 2000.
