What Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol Is About
Amy and Rory are aboard a liner about to come down, and the only way the Eleventh Doctor can save them is to turn the richest and meanest man on the planet into a decent one. So he goes back into Kazran Sardick’s past, repeatedly. Written by Steven Moffat, this Christmas special crosses Dickens with time travel, and the trick of it is that the ghost of Christmas past is no metaphor here but somebody genuinely rewriting a man’s childhood from the inside. Michael Gambon plays the miser and Katherine Jenkins sings.
