Dragon Hunters

Two con men who pass as dragon hunters set out at the invitation of a nobleman whose castle is under threat. With them is a small girl who genuinely believes the dragon stories. The film builds its world through design rather than realism: earth suspended in the sky, roads that open onto nothing, creatures of uncertain scale. The narrative is kept simple; the landscapes are the show. Guillaume Ivernel and Arthur Qwak directed. It was developed from a French television series and is a French, German and Luxembourgish production. Who it's for: those who like children's animation with a distinctive visual world. Who it's not for: viewers wanting a substantial story; the narrative is familiar and thin.
