Earth

Ángel arrives in a wine-growing region to exterminate the insects in the fields. He also considers himself half dead and half angel, and there is a second Ángel inside his head who talks to him. He meets two women there: one married and calm, the other free and dangerous. He falls for both and cannot work out which of them belongs to which Ángel. The insect under the soil is also the source of what gives the wine its taste. Julio Medem directs, with Carmelo Gómez, Emma Suárez and Silke. Medem tries to hold the real and the imagined, the earth and the sky, inside the same shot; the narrative does not run straight but circles.
