What Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada Is About
Arjun, a visual effects artist nursing his own broken heart, takes a friend who has been possessed by a malevolent spirit to be treated, and there falls for Amala. He then learns that Amala died in an accident two years earlier. Some time later he meets Nitya, who is Amala’s double, and after that a woman he has never seen turns up claiming to be Amala herself. Vi Anand uses the supernatural not to frighten anyone but to build a romantic puzzle out of it. Nikhil Siddhartha, Hebah Patel and Nandita Swetha take the leads; it opened in November 2016, reviewed well and did very large business.
