In MotoGP riders race side by side at over three hundred kilometres an hour and hit the ground at more than a hundred and sixty when they fall. The documentary follows the championship across two seasons. It talks with Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, Garry McCoy and Mick Doohan, and also with mechanics, doctors and people in the stands. Ewan McGregor narrates. Mark Neale's film gives the reality of injury in the sport alongside the excitement of racing: the conversations with doctors and the crash footage are part of the telling. Rossi's rise forms the backbone. The account edges towards the tone of a promotional film in places; against that, getting inside the paddock and letting the riders speak for themselves is what holds it up.
