No Maps for These Territories

William Gibson gets into a limousine. The year is 1999. The car sets off across North America. Cameras have been fitted inside it. There is a computer, a television and a telephone as well. The whole film is shot in that vehicle. Gibson talks as the road goes by. He talks about his own life. He talks about the books he has written. Neuromancer comes first among them, and he is the man who put the word cyberspace into use. The world outside the window comes into it too, with the changes technology was bringing as the century closed. Bono and The Edge cut in along the way. William Gibson speaks in the eighty nine minute film, an American and British production Mark Neale finished in 2000.
