What Ferro Is About
Tiziano Ferro, one of Italy's biggest-selling pop singers, lets the camera into his own life. His childhood, an adolescence spent overweight, the years spent drinking, coming out as gay and what that meant in Italy: all of it goes on the table in turn. His new life in Los Angeles and his husband Victor Allen are in the documentary too. Beppe Tufarulo's seventy-seven-minute film interleaves backstage footage with Ferro telling it himself. Rather than a promotional piece about a famous name, it is an account of a relationship with addiction and with shame.
