Final Cut: Ladies and Gentlemen (2012): Plot, Cast & Rating

What Final Cut: Ladies and Gentlemen Is About

The film tells one love story: the meeting, the passion, the argument, the separation, the regret. Not a single frame of it was shot for the film; all of it is assembled from images taken from hundreds of others. The man is Delon in one scene and Mastroianni in the next; the woman is Garbo in one and Hepburn in another. The cast list on our record is misleading for that reason, since none of those people acted in this. Gyorgy Palfi spent years in the edit and the result flows startlingly well. With no rights cleared, it can only be shown at festivals.
