Flemish Heaven

The film is about three generations of women. Monique and her daughter Sylvie work together. What they run is a brothel. The place is on the border of West Flanders and France. Sylvie has a daughter of six. The girl is called Eline. Eline is curious about where her mother works. She is never allowed inside. A line has been drawn between the house and the workplace. One day something serious happens. It turns the lives of all three upside down. The ties between them come under strain. The account is built on that shock. Sara Vertongen and Wim Willaert take the leads, with Esra Vandenbussche also in the cast, in Peter Monsaert’s Belgian film of 2016.
