What Flow: For Love of Water Is About
The documentary takes the water crisis from the scale of single towns and from the global scale at once, on the argument that pollution, politics and human rights cannot be separated here. Irena Salina puts one question at the centre, whether water is a public right or a commodity that can be sold, and follows the trail of bottled water and privatisation. In the frame are drying sources, poisoned rivers and the people resisting both. It is openly a warning and a piece of advocacy, and says itself that it is built to move an audience rather than merely inform it.
