What Follow a Star Is About

Norman Truscott is a young man working in a shop who dreams of becoming a star. Vernon Carew is a singer whose light is going out. Vernon manages to get hold of a recording of Norman singing and puts it about as his own voice. So on one side there is a man whose voice nobody hears, and on the other a man kept standing by that voice. The film uses the clumsy hero mould of British comedy and shows as a joke how show business assigns one person’s work to somebody else. Norman Wisdom plays the lead in Robert Asher’s hundred and two minute British film, completed in 1959.
