For a Moment, Freedom

The film tells the journey of a group of refugees. Those who set out come from Iran. First they cross into Iraq. From there they reach Turkey. What they want is to get to Europe. For that they apply for visas. But the application drags on. They have no choice but to wait. They stay in a cheap hotel. The days pass exactly alike. There are children among them. The waiting wears on each of them differently. Some hold on to hope and some think of turning back. The account moves in the shape of a road film. Navid Navid and Pourya Mahyari take the leads, with Behi Djanati Atai also in the cast, in Arash T. Riahi’s Austrian, French and Turkish coproduction of 2008.
