What Gameboys: The Movie Is About
Cairo and Gavreel, who met over games and became lovers, decide to spend a few weeks together at Gavreel’s place before Cairo goes back to his province. What begins as a romantic holiday quickly turns into a test of the relationship: Cairo has to face the reality of leaving and Gavreel a decision that will change his life, and the arrival of a very conservative aunt makes all of it harder. Whether a bond that survived distance and a pandemic can also handle fate and circumstance is the question the film puts.
