Gary Numan: Android In La La Land

The documentary takes up Gary Numan. Numan is one of the pioneers of electronic music. The film follows him as he moves to America. This is not a return trip but a one-way move. What he wants is to make his name there. In the same period he goes back into the studio. He had not made a new record for nearly a decade. The film tells those two things together. There is a love story inside the account as well. That relationship helped him put his life back together. The work sets the music beside the private life. Numan is followed on stage and in the studio alike. The account is put together as a story of starting again. Steve Read and Rob Alexander’s British documentary of 2016 runs eighty five minutes.
