Goodachari

Gopi's father Raghuveer was an intelligence officer and was killed. Gopi was raised by his uncle Sathya. Like his father he wants to be an agent, but Sathya is against it; he knows how his brother ended. Gopi is accepted into a covert unit. Shortly after his training he finds himself a suspect in an assassination and has to run from his own service as well as from outside it. Sashi Kiran Tikka's film is one of the examples of the spy genre in Telugu cinema. The narrative rests less on action than on withheld information: who is on which side keeps changing and the audience learns it as late as Gopi does. Adivi Sesh plays the lead and wrote the screenplay. Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj and Jagapati Babu are also in the cast. Who it's for: Viewers who like Indian spy thrillers, narratives of identity and betrayal, and Telugu cinema. Who it's not for: The plot has too many turns and some resolutions rest on coincidence. The action scenes also show the budget.
