Gotta Run!

Juuso, Late and Pyry come back to their village after military service. The village is in the Finnish countryside and work is hard to find. Juuso decides to take a job on an oil platform in Norway. Late’s family has a chicken farm, but he wants to get away from his father. His father has remarried and the order at home has changed. Late goes to Gothenburg in Sweden for work; there things get worse and he is deported. Pyry wants to take over the farm left by his father. Family quarrels over the estate push him to give up his agricultural studies. In the end he takes a job with Late at a steel mill in the south. Timo Torikka takes the lead in Mikko Niskanen’s Finnish film of 1982.
