Swissair collapsed in 2001. The collapse was a heavy blow to the Swiss economy. It shook the country’s morale as well. On 2 October 2001 the whole fleet was left on the ground. The film is set during the airline’s last days. One strand of the account is Mario A. Corti, the company’s last chief executive. What fell to Corti was to run a business that was already lost. The other strand is the people whose names are never given. They lost their jobs, their homes and their trust in the country. The work is put together like a corporate thriller. László I. Kish is in the lead of Michael Steiner’s Swiss film of 2006.
