Gypsy

There is a young man called Gypsy. His father was Hindu and his mother Muslim. He lost his parents in communal violence. He has had no settled life since. He travels the country with his horse. Everywhere he goes he sees a different problem. Those problems tie back to national politics. What he sees pushes him to act. The film is built as a road film. There is satire in it as well. The production ran into trouble with the censors. The board asked for a large number of cuts. The matter was taken to a tribunal. The film was finally certified with cuts. It opened on 6 March 2020. Jiiva and Natasha Singh appear in the hundred and fifty four minute film, an Indian production shot in Tamil that Raju Murugan finished in 2020.
