What Halima's Path Is About

Halima, who lost her son in the war in Bosnia, is trying years later to recover his bones. The commission for missing persons has identified her husband’s remains in one of the mass graves by DNA, but the same cannot be done for her son, because Halima refuses to give a blood sample. The reason is something no one knows: her son was in fact the child of her niece Safija, given to her years before the war. To have the bones identified, Halima has to find Safija, who was cut off from the family, and persuade her. In Arsen Anton Ostojić’s hundred and five minute Bosnian Croatian Slovenian co-production, Alma Prica plays Halima and Olga Pakalović plays Safija. It was completed in 2012.
