Hard Core Logo

The punk band Hard Core Logo reunites years later for a single benefit gig, and the gig turns into a tour across western Canada. A van, cheap venues, bad money. The singer Joe Dick holds the whole thing together on will alone, while the guitarist Billy has other plans. Every day on the road brings a little more of the old account to the surface. Bruce McDonald shoots it as a fake documentary: the camera is always there, the crew is visible, everyone talks to it. It is adapted from Michael Turner's novel. It became a cult film of Canadian independent cinema and is one of the least romantic films ever made about punk: here the music rescues nobody, it only lasts longer.
