What Have a Good Funeral, My Friend… Sartana Will Pay Is About
Sartana witnesses a massacre and decides to find out who is behind it. In the small town of Indian Creek nearly everyone is eager to buy up the land the dead left behind, and one of them could be the name behind the killings. Not even the sheriff is outside the list of suspects. Sartana can neither ask for help nor trust anybody. Giuliano Carnimeo made this one under the name Anthony Ascott, and it is one of the instalments in the Sartana series. Gianni Garko plays the same man through most of the series: a gambler dressed in black who says little and produces solutions nobody expects out of the devices he carries. It belongs to the playful, ornamented wing of the spaghetti western, the one that leans towards detective stories. There is more cunning than gunfire; every scene is built like a hand of cards.
