Hello Guru Prema Kosame

Trinadha Rao Nakkina's 2018 Telugu film follows a carefree young man meeting a girl from the city. The start is bad, but a friendship forms over time and the relationship clashes with both families' expectations. The second line is the distance between father and son. The lead does not follow the path his father set and does not argue about it; the narrative makes that silence the real problem of the relationship and confronts it in the final section. Ram Pothineni and Anupama Parameswaran lead, with Prakash Raj as the father. The narrative follows the template of Telugu romantic comedy; the songs are plentiful and the humour leans on supporting characters. Who it's for: those who like Telugu romantic comedy. Who it's not for: viewers looking for unpredictable development; the film moves through the familiar steps of the genre in order.
