Trinadha Rao Nakkina's 2017 Telugu film follows a carefree young man trying to win over the father of the girl he loves. Babu did not finish his studies and has no job, while her family is educated; that difference supplies the whole conflict. The film uses a template running on class and education without taking it seriously; the humour comes from the character treating his situation lightly. Nani's playing suits this, and the film's commercial success rested largely on him. Keerthy Suresh takes the woman's role. In the second half the script gives itself over entirely to the mould; the family is won round through a series of coincidences and the dramatic tension drops. Who it's for: those who like light Telugu romantic comedy. Who it's not for: viewers looking for character development; the film never really tests its hero.
