What Heroes Two Is About
After the Shaolin Temple is burned by Qing officials, fighters loyal to the Ming are declared enemies of the state and driven underground. Through a misunderstanding, the young and gifted Fong Sai-yuk unknowingly helps Qing agents capture the leading Shaolin rebel Hung Hei-gun, and once he sees his mistake he sets out with the remaining rebels to save the man from execution. Against them stand General Che Kang with his army and the Tibetan lamas at his side. In Chang Cheh’s ninety three minute Shaw Brothers production, Chen Kuan-tai and Alexander Fu Sheng take the leads. The film is the first part of the director’s Shaolin cycle and was Fu Sheng’s first starring role.
