Hippocrates

A young doctor starting his residency makes a decision on his first night that leads to a patient's death. His father runs the ward. The film treats the error not as a crime but as something the system produces: exhaustion, missing equipment, nobody willing to take responsibility. Its weight goes to his relationship with a more experienced colleague who trained abroad and works at a lower grade. Thomas Lilti directed; he is a doctor and wrote it from his own residency.
