Hit and Runway

Two men decide to write a screenplay together. One is straight, the other a gay Jewish man. Their worlds are nothing like each other. Their tastes, their circles and the way they speak all differ. They set about making something together all the same. The script they are writing is about a New York policeman. The officer goes undercover in the fashion world. So a film is being built inside the film. The writing does not go as easily as expected. How each of them sees a scene keeps colliding. The arguments move out of the work and into personal ground. In time they begin to learn about each other’s lives. The story gives that learning along with the comedy. Michael Parducci, Peter Jacobson and Kerr Smith appear in the hundred and eight minute film, an American production Christopher Livingston finished in 1999.
