What Hounds Is About

Henrik moved out of Berlin with his son. The place they settled is a village in eastern Germany. They have been there for months and are still taken for outsiders. The villagers pay them little regard. Henrik bought an old farm. He plans to turn the barn into a hotel. He wants to take in newlyweds from Berlin. The plan does not look realistic. His son Lars is sixteen. There is almost no talk between father and son. Christmas is coming and Lars is expected to go to Berlin. In the village, though, he meets Marie. She is deaf and is the publican’s daughter. The two of them start wandering the snowy country together. Constantin von Jascheroff and Josef Hader appear in the eighty six minute film, a German production Ann-Kristin Reyels finished in 2007.
