How To Steal A Wife

The film takes place on New Year’s Eve. Three people end up together in a small apartment. At the centre is a woman named Laima. Her husband and her former husband are both there with her. None of the three can leave the flat. What complicates everything is a large sum of money. The former husband stands accused of stealing it. Nobody knows where that money is. He does not accept the accusation. The woman cannot decide which of them to believe. The reckoning starts behind a closed door. Old accounts are opened and new lies are added on top. The comedy comes out of that narrow space. What the film asks is simple. Is love stronger than money or is it not. The answer is left hanging until the end. Rimantė Valiukaitė and Ramūnas Cicėnas appear in the ninety minute film, a Lithuanian production Donatas Ulvydas finished in 2013.
