Hush!

Naoya and Katsuhiro are a couple who have only recently got together. At first there is an imbalance between them: Naoya is open and easy, while Katsuhiro is careful and has told no one. Everything is thrown when Asako comes into their lives; a woman living on her own, she asks Katsuhiro to father a child with her. As the three of them try to carry that request, they end up having to define again what a family actually is. The film takes the subject up without passing judgement, in a quiet comic register. Ryosuke Hashiguchi’s hundred and thirty five minute Japanese film was completed in 2001.
