Idhayam Murali

Aakash Baskaran's 2026 Tamil film follows a young man living with a love that was never returned. Years pass and his life goes in directions he did not expect, but the feeling stays and affects every new relationship. The idea is that being unable to forget is obstructive rather than romantic. The narrative does not exalt that attachment; the lead cannot see other people because he is stuck in his own story, and that harms those around him. Atharvaa Murali leads with Fahadh Faasil in support. The narrative moves in time jumps and the same locations return in different periods. The tone drifts from romantic comedy towards drama. Who it's for: those who like Tamil romantic drama. Who it's not for: viewers expecting closure; the film leaves the unreturned feeling unresolved.
