What I'll Be Going Now Is About
Augusto, once the manager of a bank, comes out of the psychiatric clinic where he spent eighteen and a half years. His daughter in law Carla meets him at the station and takes him home. The house is crowded now: Carla’s nine year old daughter is there, and so are the man she is with and his twelve year old daughter. After an absence that long, he struggles to make a connection again with the family he has left. The film does not turn old age and being left outside into a mournful picture; it tells it in a dry comic register. Vittorio Gassman and Dominique Sanda appear in Dino Risi’s ninety three minute Italian film.
