In Blue

Lin is a Dutch flight attendant. On one flight something unexpected happens. She has to help deliver a passenger’s baby in the air. The event shakes her. Then she lands in Bucharest. There are people living in the passages under the city. There she meets a boy of fifteen. The boy’s name is Nicu. Lin starts to help him. What forms between them does not fit one name, though. It is like mothering and like something else. It stays undefined and it presses on both of them. The film is built on that uncertainty. Maria Kraakman and Bogdan Iancu appear in the hundred and two minute film, a Belgian, Dutch and Romanian co-production Jaap van Heusden finished in 2017.
