Win/Win

Ivan is a young man who works with numbers. A bank moves him onto the trading floor. He reads the waves of the market by instinct. The positions he takes bring the bank large profits. The people around him treat him as a rising name. Yet the new job leaves Ivan’s nights sleepless. As the gains grow the unease grows with them. A man who looks composed from outside is coming apart within. His relationship with numbers takes the place of ordinary life. A thin pane of glass comes between him and other people. He becomes a stranger to himself. The success feels like something that belongs to someone else. After a point he wants out. The film asks whether that way out is still open to him. Oscar Van Rompay and Halina Reijn appear in the eighty one minute film, a Dutch production Jaap van Heusden finished in 2010.
