What In from the Side Is About
While a gay rugby club in London struggles with money and internal division, Mark, a new member, and Warren, an experienced first team player, begin an affair after a drunken night at an away fixture. Both have partners and both are attached to the club, so it has to stay hidden. The subject is not coming out but infidelity, and what that means inside a small community. Matt Carter shot a hundred and thirty-four minutes on an independent budget; the length is considerable, but the slow tightening of the relationship uses it.
