Inheritance

Peter, a young German, walks into a restaurant on the edge of Buenos Aires. All he wants is directions. Instead a plate comes at his head. The one who threw it is Olinda, who owns the place: sixty years old, an Italian immigrant, and short tempered. That strange first meeting turns in time into a friendship. The reason is this: what brought each of them to Argentina is strikingly alike. The film tells migration through two different generations. One of them came years ago and settled; the other has only just arrived. What the two have in common is what they left behind.
