Italy: Love It, or Leave it

Luca and Gustav live in Italy. They are facing one question. Stay, or go. Many of their friends have already left. The two of them set out in order to decide. Their vehicle is an old Fiat 500. They travel the country from one end to the other. They look at the things Italy is known for. What they are after is whatever is left behind the clichés. The past looks glorious. The present is unsteady. The future is anybody’s guess. Along the way they talk to people. What comes up is work, politics and daily life. Their earlier film was Suddenly, Last Winter. Both of them appear as themselves in the seventy five minute film, a German and Italian production Gustav Hofer and Luca Ragazzi finished in 2011.
