Janhit Mein Jaari

Manokamna, from a small town, finally finds a job that pays properly. But the job itself is selling condoms, and that is not something her family or the people around her will accept. She has to keep the work going and defend what she believes is right at the same time. The film sets the matter inside the argument about birth control and asks whose the shame actually is. The account uses the mould of comedy without making anyone look ridiculous. The account shows that the real pressure comes not from the work itself but from the work being named out loud. Nushrratt Bharuccha plays the lead in Jai Basantu Singh’s hundred and forty six minute Indian film, completed in 2022.
