Kadhalar Dhinam

Raja and Roja are university students. Raja comes from a poor neighbourhood. Roja is the daughter of the dean. The two of them begin writing to each other over the internet. What passes between them deepens in time. They fall in love. But Roja is already engaged. Raja’s own position is difficult as well. He owes his livelihood to Roja’s father. He cannot bring himself to disrespect the man. The difference in class stands in the way as well. The account is built on that dilemma. The internet coming between them is where the story starts. The film runs drama and romance together. Kunal Singh and Sonali Bendre take the leads, with Nassar and Ragasudha also in the cast, in Kathir’s Tamil film of 1999.
