What Kick the Moon Is About

Choi Ki-dong has become a teacher and Park Young-jun a gangster. At school they knew exactly what the other was, and the roles were the other way around then. Ten years later they meet again in Gyeongju, and when they realise they are both interested in the same woman, Min Ju-ran, the old accounts open too. Kim Sang-jin's film is the kind of Korean comedy that was working best at the time: hard fighting, crude humour and an unexpected turn of feeling in among it. Lee Sung-jae, Cha Seung-won and Kim Hye-soo play it. Across a hundred and eighteen minutes it keeps its tone deliberately unstable.
