What Kills on Wheels Is About
Two young men in a Budapest care home fall in with a hitman who uses a wheelchair and start working with him. They have little to lose, which leaves them very little to be afraid of. How much of what we are watching actually happens and how much stays inside the comic book one of them is drawing is left deliberately unresolved. Attila Till cast two of his three leads from among genuinely disabled actors, and most of the extras in the care-home scenes as well. He said he wanted disabled characters played, for once, by the people themselves. Hungary submitted the film for the foreign language Oscar.
