Klovn the Final

Billed as the closing chapter for Frank and Casper, the film runs their familiar method one last time: Frank does something out of good intentions, Casper turns it to his own advantage, and both end up in a humiliating hole. This time the subject is marriage, money and getting older. Mikkel Nørgaard directs; Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen write, star, and use their own names. The cringe side of Danish comedy is harder here than ever and the film has no interest in relieving the audience. Anyone who does not know the series and the earlier films will find many jokes without context. The ending genuinely puts a full stop on it. Who it is for: viewers who follow Danish cringe comedy and the Klovn series. Who it is not for: newcomers, and anyone put off by crude humour.
