What Lee Rock II Is About
Lee Rock is now the most powerful man in the force, and because he understands how power works he chooses to step back. Jealousy among his own rank and a new unit set up to clean out corruption have begun to threaten the arrangement he built. Released in 1991, it follows directly from Lee Rock earlier that same year and forms the second part of a trilogy about a real person, the legendary corrupt Hong Kong police sergeant Lui Lok, a man remembered for the size of his fortune. Lawrence Ah Mon directed, with Andy Lau as Lee Rock, alongside Aaron Kwok and Sharla Cheung. The account neither excuses the corruption nor reduces it to a simple crime story.
