My Name Is Fame

Fai is a talented actor who was named best new performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards. On television he always plays the lead. But he is arrogant and does not value the chances he is given. He criticises the people he works with constantly, and his career slides because of it. Before long no lead roles are offered and he is given only villains. In the end he loses his job at the station too. Then an unexpected turn puts him to work as an agent for extras. He starts giving pointers to a young woman named Fei who genuinely loves acting. That work gives him back his own appetite for it. Lau Ching-Wan takes the lead in Lawrence Ah Mon’s Hong Kong film of 2006.
