Legend of Tianyun Mountain

Song Wei is engaged to Luo Qun. One day an accusation is made against him. It comes from a party official named Wu Yao. The charge is rightism. Luo Qun is sentenced to ten years of hard labour. Song Wei breaks off the engagement. In time she marries Wu Yao. Years go by. The Cultural Revolution ends and the political weather changes. Song Wei asks something of her husband. What she asks is that Luo Qun’s name be cleared. Wu Yao is a powerful official by now, and he has no wish to reopen the old file, so the decision hangs between the two of them. Wang Fuli and Shi Weijian appear in the hundred and twenty six minute film, a Chinese production Xie Jin finished in 1980.
