Let's Talk About Women

Nine separate episodes, the same actor in all of them. Vittorio Gassman is someone else each time: a practical joker, a prisoner, a customer, a husband. In every story there is a different woman opposite him, and the subject always arrives at the same place: what men think about women and how wrong they have it. The episodes are short and not connected. This was Ettore Scola's first job as a director. Until then he had worked as a screenwriter and was among the best known writers of Italian comedy. The title says it is talking about women, but the film is really about men; in most episodes the women are surfaces in which a man sees his own image. Sylva Koscina, Antonella Lualdi and Eleonora Rossi Drago are in the cast.
