Looking for Venera

Venera lives in a small village in Kosovo. She is a girl in her teens. A large family fills the house. Three generations live under the same roof. She can find no space of her own. She is known as a quiet girl. At school she meets Dorina. Dorina is freer and bolder. The two become friends. Venera starts going out with her. She begins to see a new world. Her family’s expectations are strict. The girl is told to behave. Venera slowly pushes back against that. The film tells it in a quiet register. Kosovare Krasniqi and Erjona Kakeli appear in the one hundred eleven minute film, a Kosovar and North Macedonian production Norika Sefa finished in 2022.
