What Lost, Found Is About
Li Jie, a lawyer, is going through divorce proceedings in order to win custody of her daughter. While working hard to build a better life she hires a woman named Sun Fang to look after the child. One day she comes home to find that neither the child nor the sitter is there. Her family and the police both suspect her, and with no help from anyone she starts to trace the sitter on her own. From beneath a story about a missing child the film brings out the difference of class between the lives of two women and asks how much choice each of them has. Yao Chen and Ma Yili appear in Lu Yue’s hundred and two minute Chinese film, completed in 2018.
